Like everyone else, I am very saddened by the death of NYC DJ AM. Just another proof that addiction kills, while Spirit saves.
I hope and pray that if you are caught in the traps of addiction you find a way out by placing your trust in the God of peace, love and joy taught by Jesus Christ (not the intolerant and judgmental God of the fundamentalists, by the way). And that will always bring a full transformation of your life and your thinking.
Very often I am asked about Jesus’ so-called miracles. The truth is, miracles are most definitely possible and in a sense not supernatural. Jesus taught that we his followers would do ‘greater things’ than him. But of course, in order to accomplish this we have to make full use of the same principles that Jesus applied and live our lives following his example. This is why New Thought authors such as Ernest Homes or Charles Fillmore always stress the importance of a correct understanding of Divine Law, which is impersonal, real and the foundation of the universe as we know it.
Three steps must be followed by anyone who is serious about living a new and better life fee from addiction:
1) FAITH: The first step is always faith. Believe that it is possible to overcome your addiction through the power of Spirit working in you.
2) DISTANCE yourself from addiction. Change your life by leaving any friend or situation that enabled your addiction behind.
3) RENEWAL Renew your mind by filling it with empowering ideas of love, joy, forgiveness, hope, peace and friendship. There is no law against these things.
Spirit can bring the best out of us and can truly changed us from the inside out. May we all be renewed inside out and work doubly hard to help all those caught in the nightmare of addiction before it is too late.
